Brian Weinle began his career as a painter after retiring early and it has become a passion and a means of self-expression. He grew up in Norwich and now lives on the coast at Cromer where he runs a guest house with his wife. Brian studies the people and scenes around Cromer and Norwich which form the basis of many of his paintings. He often works alongside Bob Brandt and has learnt much from him.
He has previously exhibited at the Assembly Rooms in Norwich and his pictures are in demand both locally and nationally. Brian claims that inspiration comes in fits and starts and is a combination of thrill and anguish but is highly influenced by the work of the great impressionist painters. Having experimented in pastels and watercolours, Brian prefers oils and acrylics and is fascinated by the blending of colour and trying different combinations to create the ‘wow’ factor.
